Our Board
Tri- County Electric Cooperative is regulated by a board of nine directors, elected from and by the membership. Board members are local residents and members of Tri-County Electrical Cooperative. Click the 'more info' button below each director's photo for a detailed biography.
Ida L. Dixon (Board District 1A)

Ida Ladson Dixon is a native of Hopkins, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Lower Richland High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morris College, Sumter, South Carolina. She is employed with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division as a Senior Special Agent and retired in 2012 and was immediately rehired with this Agency. She has over 35 years of Law Enforcement which also includes employment with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission as an Agent. Before Law Enforcement, she was employed with the Department of Corrections (CCI) as a Correctional Officer, Training Supervisor, and Shift Supervisor. Ida is also employed with the JP Holley Funeral Home for over 30 years. Ida is a Board of Trustee with Tri-County Electric Cooperative. Ida is active in her community; she is a member of the Lower Richland Advisory Committee and a volunteer with Good Shepherd Food Pantry. Ida is a former Miss Morris College and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ida enjoys spending her spare time with her family, hosting Holiday events and attending the University of South Carolina Women and Men Basketball games.

Barbara Flemming Weston is a life-long resident of Eastover, SC. She is a retired educator and has taught English, Speech, and Drama in public schools for a combined 30 years. Barbara attended South Carolina State University, the University of South Carolina, and Cambridge College. She has a Master's in Education {plus 30 graduate semester hours (MA+30)} and holds certifications for Administrator and Superintendent. Barbara is involved in various community organizations. She is the president of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Board. She also serves on other boards such as the SC Student Loan board and the Goodwill Foundation board. She formerly served on the SC Ed Management board, the SC Professional Review Committee of Colleges and Schools, the College of Charleston's School of Education Advisory board, the Families of Highway Fatalities (FHF) board, and the SC State Board of Education, representing the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Kershaw and Richland counties. Barbara is married to Samuel L. Weston. They are parents of two sons and have two grandchildren. They are active members of Goodwill Baptist Church of Eastover.

S. George Wilson is a native and lifelong resident of Gadsden, South Carolina. He serves as the Special Services General Manager with the Richland County Department of Public Works. George began his distinguished career in public service at the SC Department of Mental Health where he served as the Recreation Director for the Hospital Improvement Project. He volunteered as a counselor at the Friendship Center and became a Community Social Worker at the Department of Juvenile Justice, and later as Director of the Department's St. Luke's Center in Columbia. He served as a member of the SC State House of Representatives from 1974-1978.
George is an active member of the Lower Richland Community, a trustee at New Mount Olive Baptist Church, President of the Kingsville Historical Foundation, Vice Chair of the Eastover Annual Barbecue Festival and a board member of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative. George is married to the former Annie Dowdy and has three children and 11 grandchildren.

Gary F. Geiger graduated with a BS in Accounting from Charleston Southern University with a minor in Economics. Since 2000, he has been owner & President of Country Clear Inc. He still leads the daily overall operations and business development while managing 2 locations and 10 employees. His keen business sense and ability to connect with people have helped this business grow from almost ground level to now serving over 1800 customers. Gary is also co-owner of Geiger Enterprises & 'Buy' the Yard Mulch.
Gary is a lifelong resident of Sandy Run, having attended Calhoun Academy and Sandy Run Lutheran Church. He and his family have deep roots here, as well as a firm commitment to doing what is best for Calhoun County. Gary's dedication to his community is stronger than most- as evidenced by his commitment and leadership positions held. He has been active with the Sandy Run Volunteer Fire Department since 1988 and currently holds a position as Captain. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Sandy Run Ruritan Club where he is a past president and currently is chair of the Business and Professions committee. He is also involved with DAK Americas Community Advisory Panel (2006-current) and North Edisto Ducks Unlimited.

Joe Strickland Jr. is a lifelong resident of St. Matthews. He is married to Sky Strickland and has 2 sons Kade and Chase. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in Criminal Justice. While at USC he played football and earned three varsity letters. He is employed with the City of Columbia Fire Department holding the rank of Captain. He remains active in his community as a coach of both youth and high school sports. He also serves as a volunteer fireman with the St. Matthews Fire Department. He now serves as a Board member for Tri-County Electric. He actively attends Cornerstone Community Church in Orangeburg.

William T. Robinson, PE, was born and raised in this community and currently resides in Calhoun County. He is retired from South Carolina’s state-owned electric and water utility, Santee Cooper, where he held various positions in engineering, construction, and financial planning. William currently is employed at The SEFA Group as Executive Director - SEFA Industrial Solutions, an engineering and industrial construction division - responsible for financial oversight and accountability as well as market development in creating new business opportunities and strategies. He is a graduate of Clemson University and has a bachelor and masters degree in Civil Engineering and a MBA from Charleston Southern University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in SC. William is married to Dawn Robinson and they have two daughters. He is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. I am honored and committed to serving YOU - the Member Owners of this Cooperative.

Mr. Willie Jeffries is a Retired Football Coach and Educator. He was born in Union County, South Carolina and was Salutatorian of his Sims High School Class. He graduated from South Carolina State College in 1960 with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He coached at Barr St. High School, Granard High School, N.C. A&T State, University of Pittsburgh, South Carolina State University, Wichita State and Howard University. Majoring in Engineering in college he decided not to build highways and bridges, but build the lives of young men he coached. He is a Trustee Board Member of Williams Chapel AME Church, South Carolina State Ports Authority, Orangeburg Community of Character, and Orangeburg Touchdown Club. He is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Sigma Pi Phi Boule. He and his wife Mary of 58 years have three children and six grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of the Elloree area, a member of the Elloree United Methodist Church and current board member of the Elloree Heritage Museum and Cultural Center. A graduate of Calhoun Academy and Kodak Corporation Mechanical Apprenticeship. 43 years' experience working in a competitive manufacturing environment. Always working to control cost and quality to compete in the global marketplace. The past 29 years as an employee of International Paper in Eastover, South Carolina. Currently serving in the position of Mechanical Reliability Engineer with responsibility for equipment availability and lowering cost. The position also requires strong technical leadership, safety leadership and personal skills. Honored to serve the membership of Tri County Electric Cooperative.

Jacqueline Snell Shaw is a life-long resident of Vance, South Carolina. She is a retired certified Risk Manager and Benefits Administrator with the County of Orangeburg for 32 years. Jackie attended Farmingdale State College in the state of New York. She has an associate’s degree in Business Administration and also holds additional certifications for Finance and Human Resource. Jackie is involved in various community organizations. She is the secretary of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative board and serves on the Executive Committee, Audit Committee and the Ethics Committee. She has served on various boards and currently serving on the Board of Directors at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College for 10 years. Jackie is married to Herman Shaw and they are the proud parents of two daughters, two son-in-laws and three grandchildren. They are faithful members of the Rock Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church in Vance, S. C. and serve on many ministries.
